The Aero owns the title of Guinness-certified world's fastest production car, which it set in 2007. The Guinness record is for 256.15 mph, held by the 2008 Ultimate Aero.
After increasing power in the engine and adding carbon fiber louvers to brace the side intakes, SSC says the 2009 Ultimate Aero will be able to hit 270 miles per hour. Only 50 models will be made from 2007 to 2010.
