I don’t know why but when I look at 2011 Lexus LFA from the front side, it comes in my mind the Lamborghini Murcielago but when I look at it from the rear side, it makes me belive that this car is another version of Lamborghini, but I know it isn’t because it’s a Lexus.
The official unveiling of 2011 Lexus LFA will be this week at the Tokyo Auto Show. 2011 Lexus LFA will be very light because of the carbon fibre structure so there will be high performances. It will be packed with a 4.8 V10 engine that develops 552 horsepower and a torque of 354 lb-ft.
The top speed of 2011 Lexus LFA is 202 mph and it accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 3.7 seconds. I think 2011 Lexus LFA will be a very powerful car that will be mimicing very well the Lamborghini’s performances. It would be a perfect choice if you wish a Lamborghini but you have few money and still enough to buy a 2011 Lexus LFA.

Hybrid power, low emissions and high fuel efficiency: it's not the kind of equation that suggests the kind of sharp and sporty handling that Lexus has built into the new, full hybrid Lexus CT 200h.
Far from being simply a standard hybrid in smart clothes, the new Lexus CT 200h - the first Lexus for the luxury small car market - has been the subject of innovative, detailed chassis engineering to ensure that it will put a smile on the face of the driver.
From the outset, Lexus has aimed to make the Lexus CT 200h a true driver's car. Delivering on this promise was not a matter of finding some clever add-on parts, but required fundamental reappraisal of the chassis and bodyshell design. True to its reputation for pioneering advanced technology, Lexus has equipped Lexus CT 200h with lateral performance dampers, components that, until now, have largely been the preserve of a very few high-performance models. Lexus has used the damping technology as an effective way of increasing torsional rigidity, suppressing vibrations and contributing to ride comfort without the penalty of extra weight.
Deployed front and rear, the lateral dampers are key elements in a detailed package of design and engineering measures that also includes strategic strengthening and carefully gauged welding quality throughout the vehicle.
The result is a car powered by proven full hybrid technology that lets the driver enjoy an added performance dimension, supported by a choice of Dynamic and Relaxing driving 'moods' and selectable SPORT, NORMAL AND ECO drive modes.
Lexus CT 200h's handling has been developed specifically to appeal European customers. Final dynamic testing was carried out on European roads to ensure the all aspects of the car's suspension, steering, regenerative braking system and full hybrid powertrain meet the standards expected in the highly competitive market for compact luxury cars - currently dominated by the BMW 1 Series and Audi A3.
The Lexus CT 200h is the first volume production model to use front and rear lateral performance dampers to increase torsional rigidity and reduce vibration.
The dampers' design is like that of a monotube shock absorber, as shown in the diagram below. Used in place of conventional rigid bracing, they are deployed between the front suspension towers, and at the rear across the lower back panel. Each damper assembly is tailored to suit the rigidity, noise and vibration performance in its immediate surroundings.
The work invested in the Lexus CT 200h's chassis and body forms part of a full dynamic package for the car that includes equally detailed attention to aerodynamics, steering, suspension and even the driver's position at the wheel to achieve sporty, rewarding performance.
The Lexus CT 200h will form the centrepiece of Lexus's display at the Paris motor show before going on sale in the UK early 2011.

2011 Lexus IS 250 First Impressions Review
Pros:
- Revised airflow nets 0.28 cD and helps improve fuel economy
- LED daytime running lights
- Wheel and tire upgrade package transforms handling from ho-hum to almost exciting
- Mo’ money for “F Sport” performance goodies
- Rear seat space only comfortable for munchkins and smurfs
The answer is yes, and here are some of the reasons why it pays to buy this Lexus. To augment comfort and wear, a full leather interior is included as standard equipment on the IS. To silence unwanted noise, sheets of asphalt line the roof and floor pan. To energize your driving, a 6-speed, manual transmission puts this 2.5 liter, 204hp sedan on the same map as BMW’s 3 Series. To update the roadside presence of the IS, Lexus has fitted the 2011 version with projector bulb headlamps and LED brake, tail and license plate lights.
Stylists have so successfully revamped airflow around the sedan that its coefficient of drag now stands at a remarkably low 0.28. All these subtle touches may not become immediately apparent to you on first glance, but in the aggregate, they move the basic IS a couple of rungs higher on the luxo-ladder than before. If the previous version opened the portal to luxury living, the latest version whisks you through that door and plants you in the foyer. It’s not an LS460 by any means, but it’s a lot closer to prime cut Lexus than it used to be.
Standard wheel size fitment on the IS 250 is a 17 inch diameter, 10-spoke alloy carrying 225/45/17 front, and 245/45/17 rear, all-season rubber. If you want to bump the IS into BMW handling territory, be sure and opt for the bargain $830 set of “Liquid Graphite Finish” alloy wheels which transform the handling of the IS from prosaic to outstanding. These handsome wheels measure 8” x 18” front, and a hefty 8.5” x 18” rear. They carry 225/40/18 front and 255/40/18 rear Bridgestone RE 400 all-season tires, with shorter sidewalls than the 17 inch stock offerings. The upgraded wheels and tires are quicker to react to steering input, more stable in corners, and impart a welcome sporting demeanor to the IS 250.
Even better news awaits Lexus sports sedan pilots this coming year. Lexus will be offering a complete line of hi-performance goodies borrowed from the company’s ultra-quick IS-F street racer. The “F Sport Package” upgrades suspension and steering of the IS 250 to IS-F specification, and also includes the 18 inch wheel and tire upgrade. Additionally, the package brings you front and rear spoilers, F-spec heated sports seats, plus F-spec ID on the steering wheel, door sills and shift knob. Price for the F Sport Package is $2,440.
Until now, the base model IS 250 has offered a way for luxury acolytes to test the spa water without ordering the full treatment. Now that Lexus has decided to go after BMW by offering a bevy of sports options, the incentive to buy entry-level luxury has taken on new significance at Lexus.

2012 LEXUS LFA Nurburgring Package
To celebrate the Lexus LFA's hat-trick of class wins at the Nürburgring 24 Hours race, Lexus has created the Nürburgring Package, an array of aerodynamic features, suspension adjustments and revisions to the 4.8-litre V10 engine that give the supercar a more track-focused profile. Shown in public for the first time at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, the performance option is available on just 50 of the 500 cars that will be built. These versions will be crafted during 2012, the second full year of Lexus LFA production.
To sharpen the car's circuit driving performance even further by increasing downforce at high speed, the Nürburgring Package introduces modifications and additions to several key carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) components. These include a larger front spoiler, fin-type side spoilers, a canard fin and a fixed rear wing.
To ensure the Lexus LFA maintains its 3.7-second acceleration time from nought to 62mph, in spite of the increased drag, the V10 engine has been revised to increase maximum power by 10bhp to 562bhp. Shift times in the six-speed sequential transmission are just 0.15 seconds.
In terms of handling modifications, the package features suspension tuning and a 10mm reduction in the ride height. Exclusive mesh-type wheels are introduced, fitted with dedicated high-grip tyres.
Exterior colour choices are restricted to matte black, black, white or orange, with interiors finished in black and red, black and purple and all-black. Cars delivered in Europe will feature a carbon fibre centre console and door trims, with carbon fibre sports seats finished in Alcantara.
Customers who specify the package will also be offered one-to-one driving tuition from a Nürburgring chief instructor and a year's pass to enjoy their car on the famous Nordschleife circuit.
CFRP parts manufacturing
Lexus LFA production began in December 2010 with just one hand-crafted car completed per day. A team of 175 people are involved in CFRP parts manufacturing, vehicle assembly and painting.
CFRP is exceptionally strong, rigid and lightweight, and accounts for about 65 per cent of the Lexus LFA's body structure weight. This amounts to a saving of about 100kg, compared an equivalent all-aluminium body.
Lexus is producing and assembling the CFRP components in-house, with a view to future development of the technology. It is a time-consuming process, compared to working with steel or aluminium, but the LFA project provides a valuable test bed for new, automated processes which will be used in the manufacture of future Lexus and Toyota models.
Different manufacturing technologies are used according the shape, role and required properties of each component.
* Pre-preg: this is an industry-standard composite sheet material made of carbon fibre, pre-impregnated with epoxy resin. It is used for the Lexus LFA's main structural elements, such as the dash, side and cross-members and panels.
* Resin Transfer Moulding (RTM): this is dry sheet fabrication, with epoxy resin injected into the mould. It is mainly employed in the Lexus LFA's secondary main frames, such as the crash boxes, roof side rails and vehicle floor.
* Carbon fibre - Sheet Moulding Compound (C-SMC): this is used for fabricating the upper body components and frames that have complex geometries.
Adhesive bonding
The Lexus LFA assembly line moves through five consecutive processes, each of which has been digitally validated. For the first four - sub-assembly, underbody, small aluminium parts and main body - adhesive bonding is used. Final assembly of the aluminium parts is by mechanical fastening.
This is the first time Lexus has used adhesive bonding for main body assembly, a process that has required new quality control measures to be implemented to ensure each of the five stages involved in the bonding meets the required criteria.

Lexus LFA Nurburgring
A Lexus criou um modelo ainda mais exclusivo o Lexus LFA Nurburgring. Que é uma versão especial alusiva à participação do super-esportivo nas últimas edições das 24 Horas de Nurburgring.Ele é limitado em 50 exemplares com o pacote esportivo e é diferenciado por novos elementos aerodinâmicos que visam garantir que o LFA ficará colodo no chão, o pacote traz um defletor traseiro fixo e defletores laterais frontais. A suspensão foi ajustada para ficar mais rígida e tem pneus são de competição.
A transmissão foi ajustada para reduzir o tempo na troca de velocidade deduzindo de 0,20 segundos para 0,15 segundos. O Lexus LFA Nurburgring faz dos 0 aos 100 km/h em 3,7 segundos chegando a velocidade máxima chega aos 325 km/h.
